The Masala Bhangra Workout

Created by Sarina Jain, America's first cross-cultural fitness star, The Masala Bhangra Workout is fun, exciting, and deep within the Dhol beat.  The Masala Bhangra Workout is derived from two Indian words:

Masala which is "spicy" in Hindi

Bhangra which is a traditional folk dance from the northern state of Punjab, India 

A very energetic workout, this is a pure dance exercise routine that modernizes the high-energy of Bhangra dance steps and the exhiliration of Bollywood moves (Hindi film).  This unique dance mixes your cardiovascular workout with fun, and is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels. 

 

With over 15 years experience as a fitness professional, Jain has created this hi-intensity dance workout and produced 5 DVD volumes to get you up, moving, and celebrating.  A certified fitness program back by fitness boards, such as, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, you can burn up to 500 calories per class.  Experience overall body toning, body conditioning and build endurance, stamina, and balance all while celebrating the spontaneous vigor of Masala Bhangra.

With easy to follow portions of the class, movement can be modified to the comfort level of the participant, making it accessible to all fitness levels.
