Judi's Story
I was very athletic growing up. Right after highschool I got in a nearly-fatal car
accident and was bed ridden for almost 6 months. All my muscle went away,
and my healthy lifestyle went out the window.
I have
spent the last 10 years going in cycles... I've always worked out, but I never
really had my heart in it. I would gain and lose a little weight, but I would
quickly get bored.
Zumba and Yoga Booty Ballet have helped me change my mindset. I am dedicated to losing weight. A healthy, positive attitude has made it very easy to alter my diet to be more nutritious. I am loving myself, releasing my inner diva, and dancing my way to a fabulous body!
What you like most about our studio and the workouts
I have worked out in countless gyms, doing every stereo-typical workout routine. I was at the point where I couldn't stand to waste another minute on an elliptical machine. Working out wasn't fun, and I needed something new. Zumba and Yoga Booty Ballet have changed the way I think about working out, and has re-inspired me to get into shape. I spend an energetic hour working off stress, laughing, burning calories, and dancing my heart out. |

How much weight have you lost or where have you trimmed down
Since the end of December 2006 to now (March 08, 2007 : 10 weeks) I have lost
13 pounds. But more importantly I have lost a ton of inches!
I'm about 1/3 of the way to my goal weightloss in record time. I'm having fun,
I'm more tone then I've ever been (even better then when I lift weights), and
I am motivated - something I haven't felt at the gym in a long time!
How has your lifestyle changed as a result
My stamina and ability to deal with stress has improved dramatically. I work
full time, I am getting my masters degree, and I have stress like everyone
else. I find the Springs Salsa studio relaxing and welcoming; my safe haven
away from the rigors of every day life.
I feel like a part of a family, and that helps keep me dedicated. I might not
be able to find motivation on my own, but if I just show up to the studio the
teachers find the motivation for me.
Springs Salsa is: my motivation, my enouragement, my family and just what I
needed to get myself back into the swing of a healthy lifestyle.
Zumba makes me feel: Young, energetic, strong and accomplished. Every time
my stamina increaases and I am able to do more advanced moves I feel like a
million bucks.
I love YBB because: I had no idea what an "exercise high" was until this
class. The energy and positive affirmation moves me in ways I have never
experienced. As I am getting stronger, I can paper doll and kitty kat with the
best of them - and that's a really great feeling! |
