What is your class pricing?
We offer a variety of pricing
structures for group lessons, sessions, workshops, events,
and private lessons. Please

directed to a comprehensive price list.
Do You Offer Morning,
Afternoon or Evening Classes?
We offer morning and evening classes and
anticipate offering afternoon classes starting October 2008.
We are open Monday through Sunday, check out
calendar for updated information.
Can I try out a class first?
No. Extensive research has
shown that our new student special of $10 for One Week of
Unlimited Group Classes is what the majority of students
desire. One free class does not provide enough of an
experience to our first time clients (i.e., what if you pick
a class that just did not fit your style, now you have used
your free class).
Can I come watch a class,
instead of taking a drop in class?
Unfortunately no, for reasons
of liability and also for the comfort of our current
students.
How do I sign up for classes?
You may access our online
calendar tool with your username and password and click on
the sign up button. If you are new to our studio, you must
purchase your initial class card in the studio. For reasons
of student eligibility, our new / first time student
specials are not available for purchase online.
Can I pay for classes with a
credit card?
Yes. We accept Visa,
Mastercard, Discover and Amex. And yes, a Debit Card with a
Visa or MC logo is acceptable. *Returned checks are subject
to an NSF fee, and further payments must be made by cash or
certified funds only.
What should I wear to class?
Each class has specific dress
/ shoe suggestions. Please
click here to be directed to this
information. As a general note, our studio has a "No Street
Shoes" policy to protect the specialty dance flooring, so
please don’t wear your regular shoes in class. You are
welcome to dance barefoot for classes such as YBB and Masala
Bhangra, or try dance slip-ons, jazz shoes, or a dansneaker.
Athletic shoes are permitted for classes such as Zumba and
Defend & Jam, so long as they are not worn for other/outside
activities and have a non-marking sole (most major-brand
shoes will indicate so on the sole).
How difficult are your
classes?
Because we have a mixed-level
student base, we teach to all levels. In a class, there will
be variations in choreography and steps given, to
accommodate beginner and advanced students. Students are
encouraged to honor their body and level and ask for
alternative modifications to accommodate their experience
levels and/or physical abilities. We do not want to
frustrate our students, nor do we wish to bore them.

Do I need dance experience to
take a class at Springs Salsa & Dance Fitness?
Dance experience is not
required for most classes. Due to our teaching style, we are
able to teach at all levels. However, for specialty sessions
(i.e. Salsa 102) students must be actively participating in
SSDF Salsa classes and have successfully completed Salsa 101
to enjoy this class. For this reason, it is important that
you read the class descriptions sheet or check with the
studio office. However, the majority of our calendar
features classes suitable for all levels.
Do you teach children’s
classes?
Our adult studio has become
an oasis for transformation and time away from the everyday
demands of your life. At this time we do not teach toddlers,
elementary or junior-high school aged children. Our classes
are for adults and teenagers 14 and up.
Can I join the performing
team?
Students are selected for the
performing company by the instructor and/or by invitation.
We typically like for students to be regularly active in
SSDF classes for 4-6 months, prior to consideration for the
performing company, even with prior dance experience. In
addition, we strongly suggest that even performers are
regular participants in our ongoing group classes. Rehearsals
do not substitute for group class attendance. Rehearsals are
vigorous, demanding, and at an enhanced pace. At the moment,
our performance teams are complete for 2008. If you are
interested in being considered, let us know. |
